Disclaimer- Please forgive some of the grammar and word choice of this article. Some of the words may have awkward connotations. Some of the words are shorthanded and not formal. The grammar may be outta place a bit. So please pay attention to the content this was not meant to be a perfect writing it is ONLY meant to convey my thoughts and ideas!!!! This article is a 5 min read that will highlight what a Washington area sports fan has noticed about Washington DC,s professional sports teams.

Washington D.C area sports teams have truck loads of drama. They have more drama as a franchise than any soap opera or drama.

In fact there could be a whole reality TV show based on the mishaps,drama, and weirdness that goes on in dc!! Washington itself is 1 of the most drama filled citiys in the nation with politics,traffic problems,home prices, of course sports should represent the city and in this case it does!! Read on to see the characters and teams that lead the nation in drama.

Redskins 6-10 last place in NFC east

Albert Haynesworth- The guy who didn't come to training camp embarrassed the redskins nation wide by trying to pass the fitness test.Always seen on the redskins sideline often standing by himself with this sour upset looking face.He also assaulted sume1 during the off season bringing further humiliation to himself and the franchise.

When he comes on the field its a big deal for the media and the announcers so wen he comes in they make it a point to show it and talk about him!! He makes a stop and the fans say put him back in after a couple days though there's always more drama and Shannan finds a reason to keep him out. Hes not gonna come back to training camp again this season. So Fitness test number 2?????

Dan Snyder-Their owner whose been a redskins fan for life but needs to get better at running his team. He buys Manny free agents who don't work in our system. Sues a newspaper for using there freedom of speech, and does not talk with the media much. He is the leader of this franchise while he has made some good decisions Most of them have been atrocious.

Donovan Mcnabb-Very good QB the redskins sent him to 3rd string. On Monday night football he was signed to a huge contract so the nation could know about it. Why would they sign sum1 to a huge contract only to send him down to 3rd string and maybe even cut him later on? Even if Mccnab does come back i don't think he will respect the team or coach Shanahan as much.

Clinton Portis-Great running back who has been injured lately he is very outspoken about lots of things. Portis got the redskins back into the ESPN highlights again after his commet about the new york jets reporter in the football locker room

Mike Shanahan- Has been questioned on Manny things like why he didn't show up at the senior bowl,why he didn't play haynesworth, His last season in the NFL with the broncos were not good which is why he was fired, Why in the world did he change to a 3-4 wen we had a top 5 defense? Why did we hire him he may have won Superbowl's but they were long ago.In his last years with Denver he wasn't doing too well with the broncos that's why he was fired.

Jim Haslett-Why did they change to a 3-4 r defense which has been gashed so much this year. We could have just left the defense alone if r defense stayed the same and r offense improves just slightly we would be a playoff team!! He did not get the right personal for this scheme he needs to work on that. Also the fundamentals that used to be there with Gregg Williams and even Blatche didn't seem to be there this season.

Kyle Shannan-All his offenses were good until he came to Washington. Whats up withtheredskins offense no matter who we get they suck in r system or get injured? If the redskins found a way to acquire "Tom Brady" or "Aaron rogers" something would happen. Idk what but they would be out for the season or just start playing horribly.

Chris Cooley-The player that everyone likes. the artist, the sure catcher, the locker room protector. Even in all this turmoil. Most people don't complain about Chris Cooley he has been mostly consistent from the time he was signed to now. 1 of Dan Snyder's good choices.

D-Hall- The d train he can run the secondary by himself. He takes sum risks jumps a couple routs sometimes gets burned but more often than not hes an awesome corner!!

4 picks against the bears they should have had him parachuted outta a plane before the game to help the packers beat the bears by even more. D-hall is jay cutlers kryptonite, And he won MVP of the pro bowl bout that the only good publicity it seems the redskins have had all season!!

John Riggins-Brian Mitchell and other former redskins who constantly complain about the owner,the team and go hard on every bad thing the redskins do there very depressing to watch on redskins post game live or the Riggins show however they point out sum things why this team only won 6 games

-Take note of this the redskins beat the bears and Packers both the 2 teams in the NFC championship game but we didn't even make the playoffs ain't that sad!!

-BTW why r the ticket prices so high at FedEx field for every year the team doesn't make the playoffs they should cut the prices by 7% They should also hand out a free meal every 1st home game of the season that they don't make the playoffs. +have a raffle were they give away 2,000 tickets for free

Wizards 13-37 last place in their division 2nd to last in the eastern confrence

John wall- While he is good he seems like more of a Magic Johnson than a point scorer. Hes good at passing and giving opportunities to the other players. he does not put up a bunch of points a game but hes a good floor general. If he works on his jump shot a bit he could be excellent!!

Gilbert arenas- A gr8 player has been injured a bit but came back and still played well!! he is a point scorer we should have kept him to have the 1-2 punch of arenas and wall. He bought guns to the locker room but that didn't affect him as a player. Agent zero though was allot cooler than number 6

Javelle Maghee- Grew and inch over the summer. Is getting stronger, has improved stamina. He seems like an up and coming talent if he can stay healthy he should be good for us

Hbout Ted Leonsis- buying the wizards. Hes creating his own sports dynasty next up maybe he will buy the redskins or nationals?

Nationals 69-93 record, Last place in NL east

-They were over 500 in the 1st year with frank Robinson managing and the former expo players. However they didn't have enough money so we had to trade em away!!

Ryan Zimmerman- Constant at third base. Makes amazing plays. Hits in the clutch he is 1 of the Nat's strong points

Stephen Strasburg-Rocket arm, Struck out 13 Major league batters in his 1st game vs Pittsburgh he is injured right now im just hoping that the Yankees don't come buy him after this season since the Yankees can put out more money than most MLB teams yikes?

Justin Maxwell-From Montgomery county Maryland. Went to Sherwood h.s and UMD!! We should have kept him he was just getting better!! the Nat's trades him to the Yankees for another pitching prospect!! Why do the Nat's keep trading for pitching prospects!! We have almost a trillion r pitching rotation is good enough we need to add consistent bats and speed!!

The Nat's payroll-1 of the lowest in the MLB in baseball the payroll correlates with the record. The best teams usually have the highest payroll!! IF Dan Snyder Owned the Nat's he would do well buying amazing free agents and spending a ton of money!!!!!

Ted learner would do well managing the redskins using strategic decisions instead of spending lots of money Y CANT THEY SWITCH TEAMS?? Lots of money and buying free agents doesn't work in football but it does in baseball, strategy and smart decisions work in football were all teams have a salary cap anyway!!

Capitals so far 29-16 record, 2nd place in southeast division

This team is the best Major sports team we have right now. I could complain but since they won the winter classic i wont. They were so dominant in the 1st years of Bruce Bodrough however but they get blown away easily in the playoffs maybe its opposite year and there saving there talents for the NHL playoffs we can only hope!!!!!!!!

As Washington is the only city with 3 Major pro sports teams to not have won a championship in any Major pro sport for over 15 years!!!!!!!!! The greater Washington Area is counting on the caps to bring this town sum bragging rights lol!!

DC United record 6-20 and 4 ties , Last place in MLS eastern conference

There the BEST pro soccer franchise in the United States. Winning sum MLS cups and Open cups. There home field is RFK why cant the redskins move back there?? Over the last couple of years though they have been getting injured and not doing too well. They have a new manager so hopefully they can improve.

Washington Castles 284 Match points for - 223 Match points against ,1st place in World Team Tennis Rankings

This is the newest team we have in the area. They became the WTT (World Team Tennis) champions in 2009. This team is quite good Led by Serena and Venus Williams + John McEnroe. Counting franchise existence and Winning percentage

The Washington Castles are by far Washington's most dominant sports team. even though its not a Major sport if we wanna watch a positive sports team in this town u might as well watch the castles play!!

THE DC Divas 6-4 record

Washington woman full tackle football team is perty good they are comparable to the castles. They have won a couple championships. They have even appeared on ESPN!! They play at the Pg sports plex team u should definitely go out to c!! Even though woman's football ain't as popular as the NFL its a great game to take a friend to or bring Ur family 2 and u wont leave feeling depressed with Ur heart racing,& Blood pressure soaring like if u were to leave a redskins game

Mystics 22-10 ,1st place in eastern conference

There like a sister team to the Redskins. At Least in hiring coaches. Since becoming a team in 1998 they've had a ton of coaches almost 1 new coach for everyyear!! They led the WNBA in attendance for a while and have had a couple playoff appearances. They have even made the finals however they didn't win in the finals!! In the past couple of years the mystics have not done too well. However last season they finished in 1st place for there divison however lost in the playoffs.

College Teams Unable to complie total college athletics rankings for now

Congrats to UMD Lady's field hockey for winning there championship. Some of the college basketball teams aroundhere make it to the NCAA such as Maryland andGeorgetown but then falter somewhere in the tournament.

So it has been a while since a NCAA Men's team has won a championship. Maryland's football team won there bowl game in a blowout. Ralph Freidegion the coach has been fired over not bring in enough fans!!

Overall Summary (Greater Washington Area Pro Sports team's record including tennis points) 435-413 with a winning percentage of 512% overall dc is just above 500!! Most of r winning points come not from r major sports teams but the rather lesser known ones. If u count the record of are 5 main pro sports teams(Redskins,Wizards,Nationals,Capitals,Dc United) its 123-176 a loosing record with a 411% winning percentage which is below 500 if u factor in the past 5 years it would probably be much much worse!!

So in Washington if u wanna see a good sports team u hafta look at the more unpopular sports or college sports for most of r popular Major sports teams r not doing too well. So if u wanna c something positive Ur gonna have to start watching the lesser known teams in DC

Is it r water supply is this a curse becuz Washington dc is in charge of sending troops to the middle east!! Even wen we get good players they seem to not come thru in the big moment or if they r doing very well they get injured?

They should do a series on discovery channel of whats wrong with Washington local sports teams!! The front of the Washington Posts Sports Page should say (Dead) The subtitle should say ((Whats up with the local sports teams??)) The front page of the Examiner should say (Desperate Franchises) On the bottom there should be(( logos of each Major sports team we have showing their pros and cons!!))

ON THE WASHINGTON AREA SPORTS TEAM DRAMA STANDINGS

1-The Washington Redskins blow away the competition from Dan Snyder to the Washington post sports writers & those Eastern Motor commercials

2-The Wizards Come in 2nd place with that road loosing streak and the rebuilding process

3-The Mystics the team with a new coach for about every year comes in 3rd

4-The Nationals come in 4th Wen will they make the MLB playoffs win will they be considered a contender??

5-The Capitals not as much drama but Bruce Bodraou does show up on allot of commercials especially for Geico.They just need to get back into 1st place and at least make a long playoff run

6-Dc United Not too much drama they have a new manager and all and there record has not been good the last couple of years but they r a decent team and know what there doing hopefully

Teams 7-8 have a very trivial insignificant amount of drama

7-The Castles have great players a great coach!! They r by far the winning-estsports team we have around here

8-The Dc Divas R supper good and comparable to the Washington Castles!! A team u should go out to c. When you leave the game u will feel happy and excited becuz allot of the time they win by a big amount!!!!!!! Compare that with how u feel leaving A redskins game??

9-College sports Their is drama but there not pro sports so im not gonna go into this as much!!
